I am a "retired" physician and US citizen now living in Cape Breton with my spouse
Aura who is in nursing school at NSCC. We have been here since 2020 and hope to become legal immigrants. I practiced pediatric hematology-oncology for about 25 years then took up adult neuro- oncology for the second half of my medical career. My last enterprise was advanced wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Aura is also a seasoned healthcare professional. I grew up in Ohio and spent most of my career in Colorado. I have always sought to be more of a contributor than a consumer. This is still the case as I adapt to a new culture and environment here in Canada. Beyond healthcare, my interests are diverse and include painting, non-fiction writing, endurance sports, and music. I will turn 79 years old on April 11 and find myself energetic and motivated to contribute what I can to my community.
