This Includes options like cash, publicly traded securities, and in-kind gifts. The gift becomes a part of our Community Fund that will respond to the needs of rural Nova Scotia for years to come.

Remembering and supporting rural Nova Scotia by naming the Rural Communities Foundation of Nova Scotia in your will.

It is a popular and simple way to contribute significantly.

Memorial Funds
All donations will be placed in the ‘community endowment fund’ which supports the growth of rural Nova Scotia. The principal of the gift will not be used, however, the interest earned will cause wonderful things to take place and benefit others for generations to come.

When you make a gift to the Rural Communities Foundation of Nova Scotia, you join people from all walks of life who have one thing in common: the desire to make a difference in rural Nova Scotia, forever. Your gift will continue to give, year-after-year, because it is part of a permanent endowment that is managed professionally by a team of community leaders and investment advisors. Earnings from the endowment are used to make grants in the community. With a gift to the foundation, you may establish your own fund or contribute to an existing fund. Many donors create named funds, memorial funds or family funds.
There are many different ways to achieve your charitable goals through the Rural Communities Foundation of Nova Scotia, some of which may offer significant tax benefits for you. We are pleased to work with you and your lawyer, accountant, life insurance agent, financial planner or other professional advisor to find the approach that suits your particular objectives and personal situation.
Land Gift
The Rural Community Foundation of Nova Scotia would like to work with you to make your tax creditable gift of property or land transform the sustainability of a rural community. Your gift can create a lasting legacy for generations to come. You can donate your land or property outright to the Rural Communities Foundation of Nova Scotia or create your own family foundation that supplies grants for a program you and your family create.
