Want to Make Lasting Change in Rural Nova Scotia?
The Rural Communities Foundation of Nova Scotia (RCF) is seeking volunteer board members interested in supporting dynamic, healthy and prosperous rural communities.
By putting resources into the hands of people who are making a difference in rural Nova Scotia, RCF is making lasting change in rural communities across the province. RCF works to strengthen Nova Scotia’s rural communities by providing project funding through its granting program, supporting capacity building and allowing community groups to create innovative opportunities for growth and development.
The year ahead is an exciting one for RCF as it is positioned to begin an ambitious campaign encouraging and establishing new avenues for philanthropic giving. This work will increase its permanent endowment and strengthen partnerships that enable rural communities to flourish.
If you are interested in joining the board, please submit the Expression of Interest by February 28th, 2020. Experience with financial management, endowment building, and awareness of rural issues are assets. It is important that RCF reflects community diversity and consideration of this may be part of the final selection process. You should have a comfort level using technology as the majority of meetings are held online or via conference call.
New board members will be appointed at the Annual General Meeting on May 21, 2020.
